DIY Antiquing: Seasonal Snow Globe

This month's do-it-yourself project is a quick, simple craft that you can do solo or with the family.  The holidays are a busy time and crafting doesn't need to add to the chaos.  This simple snow globe is an easy-to-make craft that will be done in no time, but will look like you spent hours matching them to your table decor as card place holders and/or gifts for friends and family.  All you need is a hot glue gun, a mason jar, holiday ornament, whatever fun embellishments you wish to use, and, of course, glitter!

All you have to do is choose an ornament that will fit easily on your mason jar lid and glue it in place using a hot glue gun.  Then, fill the mason jar with distilled water, which will help your ornament not corrode, leaving enough room to allow the ornament to fill up the jar.  Add your glitter and tighten the lid to make sure there are no leaks.  Once you've finished with that, all that there is left to do is decorate the outside.  Embellish the jar how you'd like, shake, and enjoy!
