Do you ever tire of shopping off of gift registries? Antique malls are the perfect solution! Here at the Southport Antique Mall you can find traditional and unexpected wedding gifts. You can buy them something that is beyond the ordinary and expresses who they are. Taking the time to select such a special gift will show the couple how much they mean to you. They will be touched by the added personal element that comes with taking the time to think outside the box.

Attendent Gifts

Bridesmaid and groomsmen’s gift are the couple’s chance to express how much their attendants’ participation means to them. Although tradition dictates matching gifts there is no reason that each gift can’t be as unique as your attendants.  Most attendant gifts fall into one of three categories: Wearable, Engravable, or Nostalgic.
Wearable gifts include items that would compliment their wedding attire. For example you could get each of your bridesmaids or groomsmen the same type of jewelry but in different styles that reflect their unique personality.
Engravable items can mark the date of your special day and express your sentiments in a lasting way. Many items found at the Southport Antique Mall are engravable such as flasks, compacts or lighters.
Nostalgic attendants gifts are probably the most fun and personal. Has your group of gal pals been together since the Spice Girls were popular? Remind them that one of your life partner requirements is still “If you want to be my lover, you gotta get with my friends” by buying them each a Spice Girl figurine.  Receiving a nostalgic gift can remind you of what unites you and your friends, so think way back and consider gifts that will make you all reminisce of glory days.

Ideas for wedding planning are not only pulled from the pages of magazines, they can also be pulled from our own imaginations.  Why decorate how everyone else is?  Why not add your own personality and design aesthetics to your wedding by creating unique decorations that reflect both your wedding theme and you and your partner.  Not only does the extra effort add individuality to your wedding, but it is also a wonderful way to save money that could be used for spending on the honeymoon or it could even mean the difference between the venue you like and one that you love.  Below are some do-it-yourself decor ideas to get your own creativity flowing and begin the process of making your decorations your own.
